Bump and Mind seeks to create a new way to experience Comme Des Garçons by introducing an enclosure reinvented from the interior, out. Inspired by Rei Kawakubo’s unique design language, Bump and Mind offers a new interior atmosphere with the allure of a dramatic façade. The form was created though the application of Object Oriented Ontology.
The objects are contained within a container that stretches according to object movement. The interior objects become habitable by placement of floor plates. Floor plates also span some of the spaces between the objects and the exterior container. This creates an atrium, a variety of ceiling heights as well as unique floor plan.
